MY REVIEW:

This title doesn’t require any introduction, it is one of the most outstanding books I have ever read. I watched the Oscar-winning movie first then read this book. Both were incredible, Ang Lee brilliantly portrayed the book into the film without losing its true spirit.
The deep insights that have embedded in each word and sentences are commendable. The author eloquently expressed his perspective on religions through the eyes of a young boy. Complex ideologies have written in intelligible words coated with humour made this book more interesting. He redefined the word “freedom” which provides a new outlook to things we see.
“The battlefield for good is not the open ground of the public arena but the small clearings of each heart”
The life we haven’t endured till is always hard to believe; it is a common behaviour of human species. The voyage of a young boy in a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger onboard through the vastness of Pacific Ocean was indeed breathtaking. The author has shrewdly penned every minute detail of the journey as well as the technicalities, information about flora and fauna. The book introduces the reader to the whole new experience of the adventurous journey.
This book was intriguing and on some portions heart-wrenching. The language used is simple yet powerful. It’s truly a motivating read which enlightens us with so many life lessons. For me, this book was a journey through spirituality, the human mind, and indeed the Pacific.
“I must say a word about fear. It is life’s only true opponent. Only fear can defeat life. It is a clever, treacherous adversary, how well I know. It has no decency, respects no law or convention, shows no mercy. It goes for your weakest spot, which it finds with unerring ease.”
If you want to read this book, pick a no busy day and then devour it. Slowly intake the deep insights into your mind and soul. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!
