MY REVIEW

“Money is the most universal and most efficient system of mutual trust ever devised”- Yuval Noah Harari.
“Money” is a vintage mini which has selected contents regarding money from Yuval Noah Harari’s other two non-fiction books “Sapiens” and “Homo Deus”. I haven’t read these two books yet, so this was the first book I read by this author.
It is a short book which has only 133 pages, but the book as a whole is deeply insightful. The author has talked about the origin of money, the advent of modern economic systems like the capitalist theory. He has given an explicit account of how the new technological inventions especially the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence affects the future of Homosapiens.
I want to devour the other two books so that it would help to refine the ideas that I obtained from this. There are mentioned certain historical events like the Opium war, The great Bengal famine and French revolution, which made me more eager to read about these events as well.
I would recommend this book to everyone who hasn’t read “Sapiens” and “Homo Deus” yet. It will provide you with an idea of whether to pick the other two books.
